On 6 - 7 December 2017, we participated in the Impact fintech'17 congress, which took place at the International Congress Center in Katowice.
It was one of the most important fintech events in Central and Eastern Europe - over 1000 participants, 3 stages and 10 thematic paths: AI, data & algorithm based innovation; banking revolution; payments; alternative finance & lending; legal & regul; distributed shadowgers; insurtech; e-commerce; cybersecurity and investments.
The congress was attended by representatives of key enterprises, international corporations, startups, representatives of academic circles as well as the government: Minister of Digitalization Anna Streżyńska, Deputy Minister of Development Jadwiga Emilewicz, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration Tomasz Zdzikot and Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education Piotr Dardziński.
Among the speakers there were such personalities as: Axel Kalinowski, London Stock Exchange; David Rowan, Wired; Zbigniew Jagiełło, PKO Bank Polski; Brunon Bartkiewicz, ING Bank Śląski; Tal Sharon, Fintech Aviv / Equitech; Bartosz Ciołkowski, Mastercard.
During the congress, there were also accompanying events: Impact Link - arranged meetings 1: 1 startups with investors, Startup4Export - performance on the main stage in front of an international jury or Business Booster - talks with representatives of PARP, PFR or NCBR, from which it was possible to learn how to get funding for the development of the idea.
